Jason Learns He’s Going to be a Daddy–Again!

 Comments

Sam may fear a pregnancy rife with complications on General Hospital, but that doesn’t stop her from just biting the bullet and tell Jason they’re going to have another baby.

Poor Baby Lila
Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) last two pregnancies were even murkier than this one. She and Jason (Billy Miller) first got together when he claimed to father the little girl she conceived with Sonny. Baby Lila was stillborn and it took years for Sam to become pregnant again.

The Franco Nightmare
When she was pregnant with Danny, she believed he was conceived as a result of rape. Franco made Jason and Sam believe he raped her, but he never did and Jason was Danny’s dad after all. And, let’s not forget Sam thought Danny was dead for months.

This time, Sam fears she may have malaria like Jason, but puts her fears aside and tells him the truth, turning her fearful moment into a joyful one.

Happy At Last?
“It’s a beautiful moment for this couple who have been through so much,” Head Writer Jean Passanante said in the August 22 issue of Soap Opera Digest. “It only bonds them further.”

Sam doesn’t hold back and tells Jason she may have malaria as well, but they vow to get through it together. As Passanante told Digest, “Their commitment to each other and the family they already have outweighs their anxiety.”

Of course, Sam does a whole lot of thinking before telling Jason the truth. Even Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) knows about the pregnancy before Jason. However, according to ABC Soaps in Depth, Jason knows Sam just a little too well and knows something’s up. That means the jig is up and Sam confesses the truth.

We knew this pregnancy had to have some drama to it, but hey, at least GH didn’t come up with a fake disease and threw something all-too-real into the mix–malaria.
