The holidays are coming early for General Hospital fans. News has broken that fan-favorite Jane Elliot will reprise her role as Tracy Quartermaine in December.
Tracy Is Back On General Hospital
EW.com first reported that Tracy returns to Port Charles and will get mixed up in ELQ shenanigans while she’s in town.
Elliot first joined the ABC sudser in 1978 during the Gloria Monty (producer)/Douglas Marland (head writer) era as Tracy, Alan’s (Stuart Damon) irrepressible sister, who was obsessed having with her father Edward’s (David Lewis) love. She came into conflict with her family after insisting that A.J. (Sean Kanan) wasn’t Alan’s son, but really Rick Webber’s (Chris Robinson).
The actress won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 1981 for her role as Tracy. She had walked out the front door of the Quartermaine mansion in 1980 and walked back in nine years later, ready to cause havoc once more. During her second era on the show, Tracy fell for Paul Hornsby (Paul Satterfield), the father of her son, Dillon (Robert Palmer Watkins).
In more recent years, Tracy’s scene partner was Luke Spencer, played by Anthony Geary. In fact, Geary reprised his role of Luke for Elliot’s last (or rather, most recent) appearance on the show as Tracy left Port Charles for a different life in Europe in 2017.
Elliot’s other soaps include Guiding Light (Carrie), Knots Landing (Judy Trent), The City (Tracy), and Days of Our Lives (Anjelica).
Soap Hub will bring you more details of Elliot’s return as they become available. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check local listings for air times.
