James Patrick Stuart Stands In For His Famous Father On Stage!

You already knew from the 2017 Nurses’ Ball that General Hospital star James Patrick Stuart has a beautiful singing voice. Well, recently he had to put it to the test when he stood in for his famous father.

For those who may not realize it, Stuart’s father is Chad Stuart, of this famous musical duo, Chad and Jeremy — an English singing folk rock duo who came to fame in the 1960s.

The other night, Stuart did something that he has never done before — he got the chance to sing with his father’s partner.

The actor shared the news via an Instagram snap on stage with the legendary performer, and included  the following caption.

“Filling in for my father at McCabe’s in Santa Monica tonight. I first saw Chad play here as a solo act in 1972. After a life time, this is the first time Jeremy and I have sung together. #chadandjeremy #jeremyclyde #mccabesguitarshop”

On Twitter, he went into a little more detail:

“I got to sing ‘Summer Song’ on stage with Jeremy Clyde at McCabe’s tonight.” That particular song was a huge hit for his father and Jeremy.

It had to have been an incredible moment for the talented actor. Stuart tweeted earlier in the week about the upcoming concert and also let fans know about his father’s status with the show at the time.

“Jeremy Clyde of Chad & Jeremy fame will be playing @McCabesGuitar in Santa Monica this Saturday August 18th. Chad, my father, can’t be there due to health reasons but I WILL. Tickets are $25 online or at the door. Come on out.”

It sounds like fans who made it out to Santa Monica were treated to quite an amazing show.
