It’s never easy to lose a loved one, but for General Hospital (GH) star James Patrick Stuart, sharing a beautiful tribute was a good place to start.
The handsome star took to Twitter to talk about the impending loss of his stunning and beloved pal — his cat, Delilah.
“Delilah heads to the vet for the last time this morning. She stuck around longer than anyone expected but she can no longer eat or drink. She spent the whole night curled up on my chest with her head beneath my chin as if she knew it was goodbye.”
After that, he shared a picture of the fabulous feline, in which he added, “I’ll miss you, you weirdo.” That is certainly a sentiment that any cat owner would be able to relate to. Our furry pals are chock full of personality, sometimes shocking us with the strange things they’ll do.
But the unconditional love they give us (well, as long as we continue to feed them) is a relationship that can see us through the ups and downs of life. The actor spoke of his special bond back in March when he let people know that Delilah was going through a rough time.

“Delilah was a rescue. She’s been our good friend for 12 years and helped us raise our boys. She’s very sick and won’t be with us much longer, but I wouldn’t have changed a minute.”
