General Hospital fans have fallen in love with James Patrick Stuart and his character Valentin. Not only does he make you swoon when he romances Nina, but once he starts singing — it’s all over. You’re at his mercy. Well, this new part — isn’t exactly going to do that.
The handsome actor tweeted about the new role that he’ll be appearing in on the Disney Channel this coming Monday. While he’s playing a sort of prince on General Hospital, in this new show, he’s more of a frog…literally.
“JUNE 17 premiere on Disney Channel… I voice Wally on the new “Amphibia”. It’s the story of a self-centered 13-year-old girl who is magically transported to the fictitious world of Amphibia, a rural marshland full of frog-people. It’s very funny.”
You can watch the adorable promo above for this new show and get a taste of what lies ahead for Stuart.
In it, he plays a character named One-Eyed Wally. A small frog, he wears a torn hat along with a straw plant on top of it. He also carries around an accordion which happens to look just like a caterpillar.
Wally also appears to be a bit prejudiced against humans so he gives Anne (the 13-year-old girl) and Sprig’s friendship a very hard time. It should be very interesting for fans to see or rather hear Stuart in this whole new way.
Look for the new series to air on The Disney Channel on Monday, June 17 at 10 pm ET.
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
