In the July 10 episode of General Hospital, Elizabeth’s theory shook Willow and Nina to their core. However, Jack was there to throw Elizabeth off course, for now.
Key Takeaways
- Willow put on her sweet and innocent act.
- Jack lied to shut Elizabeth down.
- Time is running out for Willow and Nina.
Can’t Escape The Lies
The July 9 episode of GH ended with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) arriving at Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) house, excited to share her theory. Elizabeth thought Willow would be thrilled to learn there might be a reason Drew (Cameron Mathison) hadn’t recovered from his stroke like Jack (Chris McKenna).
Little did Elizabeth know that she had just opened a can of worms that Willow had been desperate to keep hidden. Willow faked shock at Elizabeth’s theory, while Nina (Cynthia Watros) not so subtly stared at her daughter.
It was clear that Elizabeth was determined to get answers, at any cost. When it seemed like Willow might have another problem on her hands, Jack stepped in.
Willow’s New Hero
Jack put on his secret-agent hat and spoke to Elizabeth in a way that made her feel heard. Instead of shutting her down or blowing her off, Jack allowed Elizabeth to speak her mind.
Then, in an instant, Jack changed the narrative. Jack insisted that he had worked with a toxin at the WSB facility the day before he had his stroke.
After he declared the toxin had to be what caused his stroke and quick recovery, Elizabeth seemed satisfied with Jack’s explanation. Alone, Nina and Willow admitted they must find the evidence against Drew.
The Walls Are Closing In
Jack may have bought them time, but not for long. Sidwell (Carlo Rotta) hasn’t given Willow more of the drug to keep Drew locked in for quite a while, and he won’t be any time soon, either.
Drew has been given the drug more than Jack, so his recovery time will be longer. However, he’s already likely well on his way to being better since he hasn’t had a dose of the drug in a while. When Drew gets better, he will no doubt keep it from his wife until just the right time.
GH summer preview hinted that Drew returns with a splash. What better time to have that happen than July sweeps?
There’s also the fact that Elizabeth isn’t the only one who knows about the connection between Jack and Drew’s stroke. Carly (Laura Wright) clocked it during an intense talk with Nina but kept it to herself, and Lucas also has a clue.
The more people who know, the more desperate Nina and Willow will become. Throw in the fact that time is running out for Drew to stay locked in, and Willow had better act fast before she loses everything.
