In the July 9 episode of General Hospital, Lucy unknowingly gave Chase an answer he was looking for, while Tracy put Brook Lynn on the spot. Brook Lynn’s plan to show Chase the real Willow has backfired, and quicker than she could have imagined.
Key Takeaways
- Tracy was brutally honest with Brook Lynn.
- Chase not so casually questioned Lucy.
- What Chase does next will speak volumes.
Brook Lynn In The Hot Seat
Tracy (Jane Elliot, one of our picks for a Daytime Emmy nomination) realized Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) set up Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) after her talk with the congresswoman. She wasted no time putting her granddaughter on the spot.
Brook Lynn admitted she just wanted to make Willow look like a possible suspect as the person who left Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Jordan’s (Tanisha Harper) accident.
Even though Tracy was hurt, Brook Lynn didn’t turn to her for help; she knew what was done was done. However, Brook Lynn then revealed Lucy (Lynn Herring) played a part in her plan.
Tracy got upset that Brook Lynn went to Lucy of all people for help. When Brook Lynn told Tracy she had to sign over some of her Deception shares, Tracy declared she hoped this house of cards wouldn’t fall on her granddaughter.
Lucy Talks Too Much
The house of cards Tracy was talking about has already begun to fall, thanks to Lucy. Chase (Josh Swickard), of course went digging to help clear Willow’s name and prove Michael (Rory Gibson) was behind it.
Chase questioned Lucy about why she went to the police to point them at Willow. Lucy did her best to cover, but failed as she mentioned being at the Quartermaine mansion the night of the accident.
Red flags went off for Chase as Lucy explained she and Brook Lynn had met earlier that night. Soon, he realized Michael wasn’t the person behind the setup and began to look at his wife.
Lucy all but confirmed his hunch when she revealed Brook Lynn had signed over some of her shares of Deception to her.
The Next Move Means Everything
GH spoilers for the July 10 episdoe reveal that Chase confronts his wife. Chase doesn’t look too pleased in the preview because he basically already knows the answer.
Brook Lynn may have crossed a line that Chase won’t forgive her for, even though he has been crossing lines for Willow for months. However, that’s not the biggest issue with Chase learning the truth.
The detective will need to choose between protecting his wife or protecting Willow. It’s do-or-die time for Chase, and what he does next will shape his and Brook Lynn’s future.
Should Chase decide to expose Brook Lynn, whether to Willow or the PCPD, he will lose her. If he opts to keep quiet, then Chase will have proved that Brook Lynn is the person who matters to him most.
Either way, Brook Lynn’s in for a rough time, and she could be in a heap of trouble very soon.
