Is General Hospital Star Josh Swickard Headed to Dancing With the Stars?

General Hospital star Josh Swickard has shared footage of a dance rehearsal he did with his bride Lauren last year for the couple’s wedding. How good was the performance? Let’s just say if Dancing With the Stars wants a soap star for its next season, the show may have found their man!

Dancing To Frank Sinatra

Swickard and Lauren rehearsed a routine to the Frank Sinatra song L.O.V.E. at the studio SOHO Dance LA. You can see the dance in the actor’s Instagram post below.

“All you dancers out there, don’t pick me apart,” Swickard posted. “She’s the professional, not me 🙂 we had 8 lessons with the Uber talented JC at soho dance and honestly we couldn’t have had a better time. Love you @laurenswickard.”

GH fans, of course, already know that Swickard has dancing abilities courtesy of his last two performances at the annual Nurses Ball. In his first year, he nearly stole the show with his rendition of Feel it Still, and last year, he earned raves for singing Something Just Like This.

His PC Backstory

Brought on to help fill the void left by the gone (but never forgotten Det. Nathan West played by Ryan Paevey), Swickard’s Det. Harrison Chase was added to the show’s story canvas slowly but surely. The writers tied to him to Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) by revealing they were brothers, contrasting Chase’s youthful enthusiasm opposite Finn’s “never let them see you smile” attitude.

Paired romantically with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) and revealed to be the ex-love of Nelle (Chloe Lanier) further entrenched Chase into the fabric of Port Charles.

ABC has tapped GH stars to appear on its prime time reality series Dancing With the Stars. In fact, Kelly Monaco (Sam) was the first winner of the show’s coveted mirror ball trophy. Could Swickard be invited onto the show next? The actor’s fans certainly think so. “Very good!” posted @tinkswa. “I agree with the fans suggesting DWTS.
