Get ready for some legal action in Port Charles now that it’s been reported that former One Life to Live star Hillary B. Smith will once again bring Nora Buchanan back to General Hospital.

While she has some unfinished business with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) and Olivia Jerome (Tonja Walker), they aren’t the reason the sharp-as-a-tack attorney is back in town.

This time, it looks like Nora will be representing someone new — Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) — and he is certainly in a heap of trouble.

Kevin is accused of being an accessory to his brother’s heinous crimes. That brother, of course, being serial killer Ryan Chamberlain. Kevin knew his murderous brother was still alive and yet didn’t turn him over to the police.

Instead, Kevin vainly thought he could treat him and because of that, three more people died and Lulu (Emme Rylan) was attacked.

The officials in Port Charles, who include Kevin’s wife Laura (Genie Francis) are taking these charges seriously and Kevin faces a lot of trouble. Enter hot-shot attorney Nora Buchanan to (maybe) save the day for the good doc.

But, will anyone else be on his side? Perhaps ex-wife Lucy (Lynn Herring)? Best pals Felicia (Kristina Wagner) and Mac (John J. York)? Perhaps his current wife, Laura? Their forgiveness won’t matter much if Kevin ends up spending years behind bars.

Right now, there aren’t many details about Smith’s current stint. We also don’t know if she’ll end up crossing paths with Valentin but it would be fun to see their association revisited.

Nora has also interacted with both Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) in the past, but it’s doubtful they’ll be involved unless she seeks local co-counsel.

This will be DA Margaux Dawson’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) time to shine as she seeks justice for Ryan’s victims. This will be Smith’s third time appearing on the show.

General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
