Hey, General Hospital: Remember Ghost Carlos And The Jacuzzi???

So, Julian explained everything to Alexis in that letter she read today on General Hospital–or did he?

While those who watch in the 2pm EST time zone were rudely interrupted by the president saying some stuff, Olivia (Falconeri) pretty much summed the gist of it up for us in her commentary.

And there seems to be one thing missing–Julian (William deVry) did dream of drowning Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) in the tub early last summer, egged on by Ghost Carlos. We KNOW Olivia (Jerome) couldn’t have been responsible for that one.

Yes, we know Liv (Tonja Walker) is all into conjuring spirits, but did she manage to conjure Carlos’s spirit just weeks after Julian stabbed him with the same dagger he used to try to kill Alexis (the same one Helena used to kill her mother)? Somehow we doubt it.

Not explaining the Ghost Carlos (Jeffrey Vincent Parise) scenes makes us wonder if the writers planned to make Julian into an irredeemable bad guy and changed mid-course due to fan backlash. It’s a huge hole in this story that makes the entire plot seem revisionist.

Plus, it’s really hard for us to forget Julian holding that dagger to his wife’s throat, as we’re sure it’s also hard for Alexis to forget. Olivia (Falconeri) even pointed out to Alexis today that it seems there had to be some way for Julian to let Alexis know what was really going on, and she has a point.

Olivia Jerome is clearly nuts and very sloppy. In all the months she allegedly had Julian under her thumb, it makes no sense that he couldn’t find two minutes to whisper something in his wife’s ear–or even somehow thwart his sister.

While we’re sure diehard Julexis fans are thrilled to have a reason for their couple to one day reunite, we at Soap Hub (who did love this couple) feel they were ruined by this story and the ghost of Carlos on that one episode will forever haunt them.
