We all love Michael Easton and were crushed when poor Silas Clay ended up with a knife in his back last summer. But, fear not–“General Hospital” is the master of coming up with characters for this talented actor so he emerged in March with the same face, but a new name and Dr. Hamilton Finn was born.
Of course, now we learned Hamilton Finn is dying, but we still expect a miracle to come his way. In the meantime, poor Finn has been waffling around without a love interest and that may need a quick fix.
Soap Hub asked if you think the maligned doctor needs a little TLC, and we’re not talking about the kind he finds in Roxy.
Out of nearly 4,500 votes, 87% of you hope Finn finds some love soon. But, who will it be with? He has friendships with several Port Charles ladies, but so far has only trusted one with his secret. Hayden (Rebecca Budig) now knows about Dr. Finn’s mystery ailment, but you can’t decide whether she should strike up a romance with Curtis (Donnell Turner). He also has a friend in Carly (Laura Wright), but she’s devoted to Sonny. As for Tracy and Monica–you feel they need to stay in the friend zone.
A very small 7% think Dr. Finn works best as a loner. He’s obviously still mourning his late wife and that affection he has for a bearded dragon gives you the creeps. You like him as a character, but he just doesn’t seem like a charismatic lover.
The final 7% don’t even care. You don’t understand the need for this character, despite your love for the actor. If GH wanted to bring him back, they could have resurrected any number of Easton incarnations (except John McBain, for legal reasons) and had a built in love interest waiting.
GH airs weekdays on ABC. Share your thoughts, leave a comment in the section below. Additionally, for more General Hospital spoilers updates, recaps, and news, go to Soap Hub’s Facebook fanpage and join the conversation about all your favorite soaps!
