For more than two years, Andre Maddox has been a man without a real story, but seemingly with a real soul, sense of morals, and code of ethics. As of this week, all of that has been thrown into question on General Hospital (GH).
Andre is a psychiatrist after all and has helped people in Port Charles, becoming their confidante and someone they can trust. Heck, even Franco (Roger Howarth) told him how comfortable he makes him feel yesterday, which is something different for Franco.
We should have known it was coming then. We knew something was up when Andre bought Franco’s painting, but we didn’t know it was THIS. Apparently, we are to believe Andre has been hiding ‘Patient 6’ all this time, but we have to be left to wonder why.
Does it have something to do with the WSB and is this a real ploy to do good in the end, or did Andre turn double agent like Anna (Finola Hughes) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) once did?
From the looks of Dr. Klein and those very violent goons, we’re inclined to believe Andre turned and is not trying to help good triumph evil but is instead evil himself?
Now, this definitely gives Anthony Montgomery something to do after all this time and adds dimension to a character who was sadly going nowhere, but it does in a way disappoint us.
After all, who can you trust if you can’t trust your shrink?
Plus, we liked Andre as one of the good guys and spent two years rooting for him and Anna. We guess we’ll stop doing that now and watch this play out.
When it’s a twist we don’t see coming, we absolutely can’t complain, but when it’s a good guy character who inexplicably is not good after all, we have to scratch our heads–and see what happens next…
