Social media allows soap stars like General Hospital‘s Tabyana Ali, who plays Trina, to interact with her supporters. Alas, those who aren’t so supportive find a way to message the actress, too. Now, Ali has some choice words for those on the social platforms who aren’t fond of her.
The High Road
“To anyone that hates me. That’s absolutely fine,” Ali began a post on X, formerly Twitter. “I don’t know you and you don’t me but regardless I’m sending you peace, safety, and prosperity… I also pray you touch some grass, see the sun, eat a delicious meal, and find something to do. Peace and love.”
Ali has the backing and support of two of GH’s most talented actresses — Maura West (Ava) and Lydia Look (Selina).
“I love you, Tabyana. I admire your strength and loving, open heart,” West wrote. “You are a shining example of the best of humanity.” Ali replied: “I love you, Ms. Maura!! I appreciate you so much.”
“Love! You go sis. Show them what you’re made of,” Look posted. “Pure Love, that’s what.” Ali responded to Look’s supportive comment: “Love you, Ms. Lydia!! Thank you so much!!”
Tabyana Ali received additional support from Adam Huss (Nikolas), who not only had kind words to share with Ali but also offered up some bodyguard services! Huss wrote: “who could hate YOU?! Only people that don’t KNOW you. I’ve only had the privilege of meeting you a few times and adore ya. Who’s butt do I need to kick here?!” Ali wrote back: “ADAM!! I appreciate you so much! Thank you!!”
The actress joined the cast of GH in March 2022, taking over the role of Trina from successor Sydney Mykayla. Ali continued the developing love story with Nicholas Alexander Chavez’s Spencer. The couple, alas, was torn apart after Spencer’s presumed death earlier this year. Might he pop up alive? No body was found so anything’s possible.
