General Hospital Maurice Benard
He’s one of the most enduring and popular stars on General Hospital (GH) and never seems to be without a front-burner story. And that’s because he’s Maurice Benard and Port Charles would not be the same without him and Sonny.
The actor was born on March 1, 1963, making him 56 years old today.
The actor got his start in daytime as Nico Kelly on the now-defunct All My Children from 1987-1990. Three years later, he landed the role of Sonny Corinthos, making him a household soap name. But, in between gigs, he took some time to play the legendary Desi Arnaz in Lucy and Desi: Behind the Laughter.
