The GH spoilers recap for Monday, August 1, 2022, features Ava Jerome and Esme Prince in a fight to the finish — possibly for real.
GH Spoilers Recap Highlights
All Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) had to do was bring up how Ava (Maura West) shunned Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin) after she slept with Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen), saying Ava’s actions led to Kiki’s death and that was it. Ava smacked Esme right across the face and then went for that envelope on the floor while Esme wasn’t looking. She had to know what was in it as Esme flashed back to writing to her nanny. Esme was not about to allow Ava read that letter so a catfight ensued as the two fought for control of some paper.
Over at the courthouse, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) told Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) that if he only knew that Spencer suspected Esme of setting up Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) all along, then things would have been different. Does that mean he wouldn’t have slept with Esme? Hmmm…Nikolas even wanted to tell Spencer that he slept with his girlfriend but got a call about a commotion at Wyndemere.

When Nikolas arrived home, he heard noises coming from the parapet and ran out there just in time to see Esme go flying — as one does when at Wyndemere — and Ava looking over the edge in shock.
Back at the trial, Trina took the stand in her own defense and had to admit she loved Spencer in order to explain why she never mentioned him as her alibi before.

General Hospital Recap: Willow Gets Horrifying News
When Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) sat with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and told him all about how he and Willow are about to be parents again, Sam wondered why Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) never told her this. She then mused about being too busy and needing help with PI work just as Mac Scorpio (John J. York) suggested to Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) that she should go work for Sam.
Meanwhile, Willow told TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow) that she didn’t want to bother poor, put-upon Michael with bad news about her health in case it turned out to be nothing. Later, when she saw TJ talking to an oncologist, she asked him to be straight with her, and TJ told Willow that he thinks she has leukemia.
GH Spoilers Recap: Shocking Declarations
Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) finally returned for her first official day at work, and Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) ended up blurting out that he is in love with her. As Liz kept averting her eyes, she looked like she was about to be sick. She was then relieved when she got a text to help TJ with Willow’s lab work.
Just a few minutes later, Liz saw Finn again and confessed she loved him too. Then, she walked into the stairwell and suddenly flashed back to Peter August (Wes Ramsey) being at the bottom of the steps, seemingly dead. This shocked Liz so much that she dropped all the paperwork she was holding.
