GH Recap For November 16: Elizabeth Comes To Esme’s Rescue

The GH recap for November 16, 2022, features Nikolas Cassadine freaking out when it seems like Esme Prince is putting on the performance of a lifetime.

In this episode, Elizabeth Webber Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) came running when Esme (Avery Kristen Pohl) looked to be feigning pain, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) managed to get Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) what they needed, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) cheerfully promised to help Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) find out where she came from, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) had some words with Brick (Stephen A. Smith), and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) was curious about a phone. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.

Nikolas thought he had the perfect plan to get Esme out of Port Charles and into another hideaway but Esme didn’t want to hear of it. When it seemed she wasn’t making any headway talking Nikolas out of this latest move, she suddenly doubled over in pain and got Demetrius to hold her hand and sympathize with her.

Meanwhile, Elizabeth was stunned when she found Jeff Webber (William Moses) in Hamilton Finn’s (Michael Easton) office. The father and daughter had another heated talk when Finn went to the lab, and he told her he knows he made mistakes but wants to get to know the person “Lizzie” is now. In fact, he said that he always felt more of a bond with her than he did with Sarah Webber.

After Jeff left and Finn returned, Elizabeth asked Finn if it might be too late for them. Before he could answer, Nikolas called, and Elizabeth felt she had to go running. Finn was hurt that Liz was hiding things again, but Liz was later shocked when she got to Wyndemere and Esme was lying on the floor, seemingly passed out.

General Hospital Recap: Carly Gets The What She Needs From Brick

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) couldn’t wait to run to Sonny and tell him that she saw Carly going into Brick’s Metro Courtroom. She tried to shrug it off like it was nothing, but Sonny was curious and asked Brick what was going on. While Brick refused to say what he was doing with Carly due to not wanting to break her trust, he assured Sonny he was not sleeping with his ex-wife.

Brick did get Carly the antibiotics, and she rushed them over to Josslyn Jacks’s room, interrupting a bonding session in which we learned that Dex Heller loves college football. He took the meds and fell asleep, leaving an opening for Carly to question Joss about why she is helping this guy.

Josslyn explained that they bonded when he helped her save Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) after The Hook attacked her and Carly accepted that as a logical explanation but still warned Joss to be careful.

GH Recap: Drew Promised To Help Willow

Drew put on his big, bright smile and promised to do all he could to help Willow find her birth mother. He would put an investigative reporter on the case and have this solved in no time. After all, he knows what it feels like to be in the dark about his past, so he can sympathize with Willow, but he was curious why she seemed to be in such a rush.

While Drew and Willow had their chat, Michael charged up the phone that Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) found outside and was surprised to see a notification from Sonny on the home screen. He then called Dex’s phone from his phone, and the phone in his other hand rang, leaving Michael quite perplexed.
