ESPN host Stephen A. Smith makes another appearance as Brick. This week, Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) security chief pops back into Port Charles to tend to some business for his boss. Back in 2007, Smith, who is a huge General Hospital fan, made an appearance on the show as a reporter. But after a conversation with Benard on Smith’s show on ESPN2, First Take, the sports journalist was offered a meatier role as Sonny’s surveillance expert.
Since then, Brick has really been a huge help to the mobster. He traced a call from Russia that led to the discovery that Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was alive and well as Patient Six. In 2019, he helped fix Mike Corbin’s (Max Gail) cellphone as his Alzheimer’s was worsening. His very specific skillset has tracked down the mobster’s missing son, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), faked records of a Turkish teen, Dev (Ashton Arbab), gathered intel on Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober), and helped rescue Jason and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and get them to a safe house.
