Who’s joining or exiting General Hospital? Are any of your favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama this week or in the not-too-far-off future? Here’s the latest casting news from the ABC soap.
Daytime alumna Eva LaRue, most remembered as Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children, is joining the Port Charles fold. She’s been cast as Natalia Rogers-Ramirez, Blaze’s (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) mother. She’ll debut later this month. LaRue made her soap premiere on Santa Barbara in 1988, playing Margot. The actress made her last daytime appearance as Celeste Rosales, mother of Lola (Sasha Calle), Rey (Jordi Vilasuso), and Arturo (Jason Caneles), on The Young and the Restless.
After being MIA for several weeks, Lydia Look is back on the scene as Selina Wu. The character meets with Maurice Benard’s Sonny on Thursday, February 22.
On the exit front, Adam Huss appears to have wrapped up his latest stint as Nikolas Cassadine when his character was arrested and sent to prison. However, don’t be surprised to see the actor pop back up again as the door has been left open for his return at a later date. (The door at Pentonville is arguably a revolving one.) Huss spent much of 2023 coming and going from the Port Charles scene.
Meanwhile, after a quick in-and-out appearance, William Lipton has exited the soap. His character, Cameron Webber, headed back to Stanford University after attending Spencer’s (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) funeral. No word on whether Cam or Lipton will return in the future.
