The surprise exits keep coming. Actress Kelly Monaco, who has portrayed Sam McCall since 2003, is being written off the soap. The move came as a shock to both Monaco and the show’s fanbase, who immediately orchestrated a campaign to save her. Rumor is she’s being killed off the show. 

Meanwhile, a star from yesteryear returns to the fold this week. Emma Samms, who debuted in the role of Holly Sutton in 1982, begins airing again on Wednesday, September 4. Robert’s (Tristan Rogers) ex-wife made her last appearance on the show in 2023. 

As the plot to bring Jonathan Jackson’s Lucky Spencer back to Port Charles continues, three new characters have been introduced to the story mix. Brent Chase appears as Lou, Emmanuel Jalbert portrays Gerard, and Sawandi Wilson plays Isaiah.

Adam Huss wrapped up a quick in-and-out appearance as Nikolas Cassadine. Laura (Genie Francis) visited her son in prison last week.
