You watched Kristen Alderson grow up in front of your eyes as Starr Manning on One Life to Live before she brought her over to General Hospital as an adult — and then she created the role of Ava Jerome’s daughter, Kiki Jerome. Now Alderson has shared with the world the loss of her grandmother and what a powerful force she was in her life.
Kristen Alderson Pays Loving Tribute
The beloved actress shared her loss with her Instagram followers, adding several adorable images of them together over the years. “Rest In Peace Granny,” she began. “My Granny, Gloria, was so incredibly beautiful from the inside/out, and had the BEST sense of humor.
“When she made eye contact with me, the whole world would disappear and I would feel the deepest love,” Alderson continued. “She had a way of doing that, making you feel like the most special person in the world.” Their bond was obviously a powerful force in Alderson’s life, building her to be the incredible young woman who soap fans adore.

But her grandmother had another quality that not everyone associates with a grandparent — and it meant the world to the actress. “I’ll miss making her laugh, I’ll miss her making us laugh (which was often, she was so much like Betty White), I’ll miss taking her out to lunch, but most of all, I’ll miss my mom and I snuggling with her in her tiny nursing home bed,” she added.
Laughter can be a healing force, which is needed even more at times like this. Those memories will hopefully get the actress and her family through this mourning period. “Love you forever Granny” was how she ended her tribute.
