The coronavirus pandemic has made education a whole new game since March and some school systems are still doing distance learning exclusively — or at least giving the option for it. For General Hospital’s Scarola twins, distance learning is twice as challenging as they are learning in two languages — Italian and English.
A challenging academic goal for first grade doesn’t keep Ava and Grace, the actresses who play Avery, from having fun and they recently styled their hair for crazy hair day, an elementary school tradition now happening virtually.
“How is it Monday already? 🤷🏻♀️ Loving the “crazy hair day” style each girl decided on for school today. Cheers to week 9 of distance learning,” their parents wrote on Instagram.
The girls have their own laptops and set up at home with headphones and desks opposite one another so they’re never lonely. And they even get to interact with their friends online.
“Back to school virtually today. These two were so happy to see all their friends and get back to learning,” their parents shared on Instagram.
Let’s hope next year, it’s safe for them and all American kids to enter a classroom and life gets back to normal.
On-screen, Avery looks like she holds the key to solving a major story in Port Charles as she is in possession of the half-heart necklace Nelle (Chloe Lanier) dropped as she fell to her alleged death. As GH fans know, that necklace proves she is Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) long-lost daughter.
With Nina wearing the necklace around Carly (Laura Wright) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) so much, one would think Sonny might soon notice it looks like the one he found with Avery. Hopefully, that is exactly what happens soon. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
