Little Avery Corinthos is the key to a major storyline on General Hospital, as she is the one who found Nelle’s half-heart necklace in the woods. Fans have had the pleasure of watching the twins who play her, Ava and Grace Scarola, grow up before our eyes since 2014 and now the girls are honoring a very special day.
General Hospital: Celebrating The Scarola Twins
“It’s world prematurity day. Taking it back to 2014 today. Thankful for @cedarssinai for keeping us safe until delivery at 36 weeks and during our short time in NICU,” their mother wrote on Instagram, on behalf of her talented daughters.
“We may have started out tiny, but our parents say we have made up for that ten folds with our personalities and strong will mindsets. Sending all our love to the preemie families out there.”
The Scarola twins have been playing it safe this year, masking on the set as they should and attending school virtually, learning both in English and in Italian from home. They even got to have an ‘unboxing’ ceremony with their older sister last week as they saw what goodies they got to keep them happy for the holidays.
Ava and Grace began playing Avery as babies and it’s been a joy to see them grow into adorable little actresses who play so well off their adult co-stars.
About 15 million babies are born prematurely each year and today the world is celebrating them, including our favorite little GH twins. To help the fight against prematurity and the fight for giving these kids a fighting chance, visit the March Of Dimes website. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
