General Hospital’s Nicolas Bechtel as a Primetime and Daytime Star

Popular “General Hospital” fan favorite Nicolas Bechtel might be pulling double duty for a long time to come.

Disney renewed his series, “Stuck in the Middle,” for a second season, according to Soaps In Depth. Bechtel plays one of seven siblings on the show.

“Stuck in the Middle” will resume production this fall. Bechtel’s role as the precocious Spencer Cassadine shouldn’t be affected.

On the Disney comedy, Bechtel plays Danny, younger brother to the main character, Harley. Though the show focuses on Harley’s vantage point as “stuck” in the center of the Diaz family, Bechtel steals scenes just as he does on daytime.

On GH, Spencer now finds himself in the think of a juicy storyline. His father faked his death, letting young Spencer in on the secret before disappearing. Spencer’s nonchalant behavior has his grandmother Laura (Genie Francis) and others worried about his reaction to his father’s “death.”
