General Hospital’s Laura Wright Reminds Women To Keep Up Cancer Screenings

General Hospital and pharmaceutical company Pfizer have teamed up, with the help of Laura Wright, to remind women that just because we’re in the middle of a global pandemic that has already killed over 300,000 Americans, it doesn’t mean that you can skip those health screenings used for early detection of cancer.

Laura Wright Advises Women Not To Forget

The actress who brings Carly Corinthos to our living rooms each day shared the Public Service Announcement she appears in on her Instagram page, along with the following caption.

As most of us know, early detection is key to beating cancer in all its various forms and while it may seem scary to visit a doctor’s office these days, it will be much worse to find out too late. Luckily, as the video shows, doctors are leading the way in taking precautions so as not to expose their patients to COVID. You can watch the PSA below.

Wright’s onscreen alter ego Carly is in a different kind of danger in Port Charles. She went up against scary mobster Cyrus (Jeff Kober), warning him to back down in a cryptic way that implied he won’t like what happens to him if he continues on his path. Carly is terrified for her daughter Joss (Eden McCoy) and her pals, who are digging into Taggert’s (Réal Andrews) alleged death.
