While Sonny’s cousin Brando Corbin might not have much back story yet or much to tell about his life on General Hospital, Johnny Wactor, the actor that plays him has a lot to say.
Johnny Wactor On Being New To The Game
Wactor recently shared a stunning photograph on his Instagram account of a single horse standing in a field and showed his artistic side in his post.
“I often get asked what it’s like acting for a living. And the truth is, it’s often lonely. Especially in preparation,” he wrote. “And it mostly feels like I’m about to get into a fight. I’m nervous, I’m afraid, I get in my head. I wonder if I’m going to get fired. I wonder if I’m going to remember all of my lines. I wonder if I’m going to show up to the best of my abilities for my co-workers. This fear could be a burden and in reality, it is a lot of the times.”
It’s a feeling that is not uncommon for actors of any age, but especially true for a daytime newbie. He goes on to say why the fear can be inextinguishable, he uses it as fuel in preparation.
“Don’t let the fear rule you,” Wactor said. “Instead, use it as tinder to work hard and make sure that all of the anxieties and fearful outcomes cease to come into fruition. And remembering that the people you work with are there to help you as much as you’re there to help them. We’re not alone in this fight. In fact, it’s not a fight at all.”
The image was taken by photographer Dustin James Morrow in Channel Islands National Park on Santa Rosa Island. Wactor added the photographer’s thoughts on his picture.
“Big shout-out to my model for posing for me. He gave me the stink eye for a minute and I was very grateful he didn’t charge at me,” Morrow wrote. “As you can tell, there was absolutely nowhere to hide from this centaur. It would have been like dodgeball in 3rd grade all over again. Let’s just say not a lot of dodging and a whole bunch of balls to the face.” General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
