Valentin seems to have lost it all on General Hospital. His fiancée, maybe his daughter, and even his identity as a Cassadine now that he knows Helena was his mother and Mikkos was not his father. (But hey, at least he has some ELQ stock now.) What does that mean for Valentin now? Let James Patrick Stuart tell you.
“My funny Valentin: Architect of his own adversity. Superficial, charming, deceitful, manipulative… All hiding the core belief that he is defective and unloveable,” Stuart posted to Instagram.
“He has been publicly humiliated and abandoned by his one true love and I’m curious to know how it changes him. Humility? Revenge? Dunno yet as the dust is still settling. But he is focused and unencumbered. He will reinvent himself.”
As for Valentin’s heartbreak over losing Nina (Cynthia Watros)? (Something he made happen himself by lying and manipulating — he underestimated the woman he was dealing with.) Well, Stuart praises the woman who broke his character’s heart.
“To all who have drawn the line in the sand, stood up for yourselves and said ‘I’m worth more than this…’ I salute you. Love wins and I believe it always will.”
At the moment, it looks completely over between Valentin and Nina, but does that mean there’s no more love for this broken man? Fans see chemistry between him and Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and now that they are no longer siblings…you never know… General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
