Life is a bit…complicated for General Hospital’s Cameron Webber. He thought he was in love with Josslyn. But now, he’s starting to feel something for longtime bestie (and one-time fellow hostage) Trina. So while there isn’t much for the young man to be celebrating, the same can’t be said for his portrayer, William Lipton.
Happy Birthday, William Lipton!
That’s because he was born on June 2, 2003, in San Francisco, California, which means that this talented young performer is turning 17 years old today! General Hospital is Lipton’s first major work as an actor, but his love for the craft manifested at a very early age.
He appeared in his first stage play when he was 6 years old. Subsequently, he appeared in several theatrical productions including ACT’s A Christmas Carol and Broadway By the Bay’s Les Misérables.
Lipton’s credits include the short films Finding Hammy and A Girl Named Khan, as well as the feature-length The Adventures of Thomasina Sawyer. He has been playing Cameron Webber on GH since August 10, 2018.
Outside of his acting, Lipton is known for his singing, songwriting, and guitar-playing. He is a founding member of the band WJM – which was featured in an episode of the NBC variety series Little Big Shots. He’s shown off his musical skills on General Hospital, as well, and gave us a beautiful song as Cam at Elizabeth and Franco’s wedding reception last year.
Among Lipton’s many hobbies are basketball, baseball, tennis, golf, soccer, water polo, and swimming. He also has two black belts in Taekwondo.
