There are many well-kept secrets on the set of General Hospital, but Jason Morgan’s job as Sonny’s enforcer isn’t one of them. Unless, of course, you’re Eden McCoy. The actress was a recent guest on a talk show where she admitted she doesn’t know what her TV mom Carly’s best pal does for a day job!
McCoy, who has played Josslyn Jax since 2015, was recently interviewed by co-stars Steve Burton (Jason) and Bradford Anderson (Spinelli) on their talk show That’s Awesome. During the interview, Burton asked McCoy if she knows what Jason does in Port Charles?
“No,” McCoy said. “I have no idea. You save me? That’s as far as I know. You save everyone. You drown and come back. As far as a formal career, I have absolutely no idea.”
“So…I killed people…for Sonny,” Burton explained, noting that Jason doesn’t need to make money as he has ELQ shares. “I literally had no idea,” McCoy marveled.
“I work for Sonny Corinthos,” Burton clarified. “I’m a hitman. But you don’t know me as a hitman because I’m nice to you. I love Carly. But I take care of business.”
Burton says it’s great that Ingo Rademacher is back as Jax even though their characters don’t get along. Burton suggested that if the fates were to ever intervene and Carly were ever single, Jason could end up as Josslyn’s stepdad.
“I can’t decide if I like that or not,” McCoy mused. “You’ll be very safe,” quipped Burton. “Until someone comes for revenge,” points out Anderson. One thing McCoy does know is that Jason’s wardrobe is spot-on as he is nearly always dressed in a black T-shirt. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check local listings for air times.
