General Hospital's Ashley Jones Back as Parker

Parker makes her triumphant return to “General Hospital” this week with actress Ashley Jones returning to the set just weeks after giving birth.

The actress remarked that returning to work might have been more difficult if it weren’t for the exciting storyline her character is involved in.

“I think that this is a story that they are allowing to breathe and I think it’s a very relevant, interesting storyline that has so many layers,” said Jones told Soap Opera Digest of Parker and Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) coming face to face.

“She doesn’t want to hurt Kristina, but at the same time, she does have feelings for her,” she explained to the magazine.

Thank Goodness for Family
Jones had to rely on family to take care of her new baby so she could return to work so quickly.

“It was no small feat to go back to work that fast,” Jones told Digest.

“My mom came out to care for Hayden while I was at work. It probably would have been more daunting if my own mother wasn’t looking after him,” she revealed.

Jones is married to Joel Henricks. The addition of son Hayden to their family makes four alongside Henricks’ 4-year-old son, Huck.

In a blog post for People Magazine, Jones remarked that Huck was particularly excited for the arrival of his little brother.

Before Hayden’s birth, Huck remarked how different the house would be with his little brother’s arrival.

Jones continued in the post, “Thank you for that clariﬁcation, Hucky. Is that God laughing, I hear? Just a little foreshadowing of life to come with my three boys.”
