Poor Willow thinks her baby is alive and well and living with Brad and Lucas, the parents she specifically chose for him when she knew she had to give him up. Never could this General Hospital schoolteacher be so wrong.
This sweet woman has no idea her own baby died soon after he was born. It was his first night home with Brad (Parry Shen). When Brad returned to the crib, the baby he named Wiley had passed away.
In a classic baby switch, Willow’s baby ended up in a Corinthos grave while Michael’s baby who he thinks died ended up with Brad and Lucas (Ryan Carnes).
Brad (Parry Shen) knows this, Nelle (Chloe Lanier) knows this. Leisl (Kathleen Gati) knows this. Heck, even Julian (William deVry) knows half of it. He knows the first baby died, but has no idea this second baby is Michael (Chad Duell) and Nelle’s.
We now know Willow gave her baby up to keep him from his father, creepy cult leader Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin). Willow was even willing to leave her life in Port Charles altogether to keep Shiloh from connecting her to this baby.
Then, as she said goodbye to the little boy she thought was her son, she spotted Dawn of Day materials falling out of the stroller. She asked Brad what he was doing with Dawn of Day info and he expressed a keen interest in the group, to better himself, of course.
That freaked Willow out enough to tear up her letter of resignation and trash her skipping town plans. Chase (Josh Swickard) is thrilled, Nina (Michelle Stafford) is not, and Willow just wants to protect ‘her’ baby.
If she learns Brad is falling in with Dawn of Day, we can completely see her going off the rails while taking the baby and running as far away from Port Charles as possible.
We can even see Chase …continue reading on the next page —>
We can even see Chase helping her as we know he can lose his professional police head over a woman. (Case in point, Nelle, the baby’s REAL mother.)
We do believe if this happens, it will be the end of the baby switch story. Perhaps Chase will notice a birthmark on Wiley that looks like one he has seen on Nelle. Perhaps Wiley’s disappearance will lead to Brad blurting out the truth.
Or, maybe Nelle reads on the news that Brad and Lucas’ baby is missing. Then, she breaks out of prison to save the baby and all is revealed. Because we really do need a scene between Willow and Nelle to end this thing.
