Valentin’s Day: Are You Still Rooting For Him and Nina On General Hospital?

Has the term “crazy kids in love” ever been more applicable than it is to General Hospital’s Nina and Valentin?

I mean, those two? They’re not merely wacky. They are actually, certifiably crazy.

Nina (Michelle Stafford) cut a baby out of Ava’s (Maura West) womb, then tried to raise her as her own and named her Jamie Sommers, for the Bionic Woman.

But, she has a good reason for it. She was in a coma for 20 years. And Ava had an affair – -and child — with Nina’s husband. So, you know… fair.

Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), on the other hand, stole Lulu’s (Emme Rylan) embryo, fathered Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez), and then hired Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) to pretend to be Nina’s long-lost daughter.

But he had a good reason for it. He used to be deformed, and Anna (Finola Hughes) refused to fall in love with him.

So, really, Valentin and Nina are a match made in…Bellevue. Are you still in their corner? What almost 20,000 fans had to say:

Shark Bait
For 42% of you, that ship has sailed…as a shark jumped over it. Valentin knows how desperately Nina wanted to find the baby who was allegedly stolen from her. When the truth comes out about Sasha, Nina’s heart will be broken. Any man who would do that to her doesn’t deserve her.

Meant To Be
For 30% of the audience, however, everything that some believe makes them all wrong together is what makes them all right. (Hat tip: Sunday in the Park With George.) They are a perfect fit because of, not in spite of, their mutual insanity.

Good Riddance
And then there’s the 26% who never liked them to begin with. You don’t care whether they’re together or apart, because crazy people are not what you tune into GH for. You want to watch true love, not true dysfunction.
