General Hospital stars Maurice Benard and Laura Wright paid a visit to the set of The Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family to discuss their years together as a GH pair as well as Benard’s new upcoming book, Nothing General About It.
Benard and Wright taped their segment on Tuesday and it will air this morning at 10 AM. The discussion is set to get serious and emotional as Benard also talks about his real-life struggles with bi-polar disorder and how the struggles have affected his career.
Sonny was also diagnosed with bi-polar disorder several years back, as well as his young adult son, Morgan, who is now presumed dead.
In Nothing General About It, Benard writes of his life at GH and also reveals secrets about his co-stars, including Laura Wright who has been his on-again/off-again leading lady for years. Surprisingly, Carly and Sonny have managed to stay wed this time around for nearly five years and even had a surprise late-in-life baby last fall.
Home & Family also has another ABC soap connection as it’s hosted by Cameron Mathison, who played Ryan Lavery on All My Children. We know that Port Charles and Pine Valley exist in the same world, so perhaps he can one day make his own appearance on GH.
Don’t forget to tune in and see more of what Maurice Benard and Laura Wright have to say at 10 am this morning. If you miss it, check listings for when a repeat may air. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
