William deVry is not the first actor to come on to General Hospital as a bad guy only to win over the audience with charismatic charm. And, now, he’s celebrating something special!
deVry, who was born on April 20, 1968, turned 51 this weekend and os making birthday wishes!
The actor came to the attention of soap fans when he took on the part of villainous Michael Cambius on All My Children. Cambius was a corporate shark who wound up dead as a doornail after he raped Bianca (Eden Riegel).
deVry next turned up on The Bold and the Beautiful as Storm Logan, a character recently referenced as the late Storm has turned out to the father of Flo (Katrina Bowden).
But it’s Port Charles where deVry hangs out these days as mobster-turned-barkeep Julian Jerome. Many fans want to see Julian reunite with Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) — the only problem is he once held her at knifepoint. Oh, and the blade used was the one that killed Alexis’ mom.
deVry was born William deVry Simard in Canada. He moved to Florida with his mom when he was 19 years old. The actor’s uncle Herman A. deVry, founded the DeForest Training School, which is now known as deVry University.
The actor’s other credits include Earth: Final Conflict, Stargate SG-1, and NCIS. He scored a 2004 Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his work on AMC.
Off-screen, he’s romantically linked to Rebecca Staab (ex-Elizabeth, Port Charles; ex-Jesse, Guiding Light) and is a pet advocate.
Soap Hub joins deVry’s family, friends, and fans in wishing the actor a happy birthday and you can too with the tweet link below.
