Sometimes the day tries to sneak by without us realizing what an occasion it really is, but fans didn’t let General Hospital star Wes Ramsey forget what yesterday was.
That’s right, it was the one-year anniversary since Peter August made his on-screen PC debut as the man Drew hired to be CEO of Aurora Media, the newly named former Derek Wells Media.
Little did we know the drama — and trouble — this mild-mannered reporter would cause over the next year.
We eventually learned he wasn’t just a publisher extraordinaire, but that his name is really Henrik Faison, yes, that Faison. And not only was Cesar his father, but Anna is his mother.
Peter also spent all summer tied to a bed thanks to Liesl Obrecht and Nina, who is now almost his best friend. He still hasn’t made up with his mother, finally got to dress for Halloween, and may become Maxie’s new man after all. (Or Lulu’s. Or Nina’s. He’s in demand.)
In real-life, Ramsey’s heart belongs to Laura Wright who plays Carly. Surprisingly, Peter and Carly’s paths have barely crossed in the last year, but she did have something short and sweet to say to Ramsey yesterday, as did the actor himself, who can’t believe a year has gone by.

It was just brought to my attention Peter August arrived in Port Charles a year ago today! (I knew the date I shot but not the air date.) Thank you to all the @GeneralHospital fans! You have been so amazing this last year! This journey has been incredible. #GH #gratefulman 🙏
