He’s the bad guy who has been trying so hard to be good, but it’s harder than he thinks and he keeps screwing up. He’s General Hospital’s Peter August, played now for three years by soap vet Wes Ramsey.
Congratulations, Wes Ramsey
“Three yrs ago today I arrived on set to begin my first day of my new job playing a mysterious man showing up in town to stir things up. A humble & heartfelt thank you to my cast & crew for their tireless dedication to telling our stories & to the greatest fan base ever for keeping our world of Port Charles alive & well,” Ramsey posted to Instagram.
The actor got his start on Soaps as Sam Spencer on Guiding Light, younger brother of Olivia, played by Crystal Chappell. He took a few years off from soaps before joining GH — and also joining his real-life girlfriend Laura Wright on the show she calls home. However, Peter and Carly have only had a handful of scenes together over the last three years.
Peter has had quite a few years in Port Charles and was the town pariah for a while. Maxie took an immediate liking to him and he even delivered her baby on the side of the road. But when she learned he was really Faison’s son and responsible for the murder of her beloved Nathan (Faison’s other son), she rejected him.
It took a long time for Maxie (Kirsten Storms) to forgive but now they are engaged and she is pregnant with his child. She also has no idea he is responsible for Jason (Steve Burton) spending years in a Russian hospital, Drew (Billy Miller) disappearing in a plane crash, and attempts on Andre (Anthony Montgomery) and Franco’s (Roger Howarth) lives. But Robert (Tristan Rogers) and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) are determined she learns the truth before it’s too late. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
