General Hospital Star Sofia Mattsson Makes Her Dream Come True

Life for General Hospital’s Sasha has been a whirlwind ever since she arrived in Port Charles. And, it hasn’t been all that different for her portrayer (well, minus the lies and danger), Sofia Mattsson, since she arrived in the United States from her home in Sweden a few years ago with big dreams — and now another one looks poised to come true.

Sofia Mattson To Start New Company

The gorgeous actress moved to Los Angeles with an idea. Yes, it was to be a successful actress, which she is totally doing with her growing role on GH, but she had another one and it’s something that could have an impact on your life. She went into details when she announced it recently on Instagram.

“I’ve always been a big believer in following your dreams (which is why a few years ago I left my home in Sweden and moved across the Atlantic to pursue acting in LA). Another big (career) dream of mine has always been to have my own company, and that dream has been in full force the past year after @helena_mattsson and I got the idea for what will soon be known as Ava Carrington.”

Sofia Mattsson’s Next Big Thing

The announcement, in which the GH star posted a picture of herself alongside her sister, Helena, who is also a successful actress, was scant on details about exactly what Ava Carrington will be. But she wrote how much it means to her and what she hopes it brings out in those who follow her.

“It’s been a challenging but very fun and exciting journey with a lot of ups and downs and many obstacles and important decisions. I’ve grown so much as a person and learned so much, not only about running a business, but about myself, and that willpower and passion can overcome anything! I hope this inspires someone else to go for it and follow your dreams!”

The sisters Mattsson have set up a Facebook page for the new company, which reveals it will launch next week but also what their exciting product is!

They have developed a line of ethical, vegan handbags that are “made from high quality materials and not harmful for the environment (like commonly used PVC).” Stay tuned to their FB page as well as Mattson’s Instagram for more information.
