General Hospital Star Nancy Lee Grahan Celebrates Amazing Milestone

There are a lot of evil Cassadines out there, but Nancy Lee Grahn, who plays Alexis Davis (Mikkos Cassadine’s daughter) on General Hospital isn’t one of them! And, now, Grahn is celebrating something really good in her life!

Grahn, a native of Evanston, Illinois, who was born on April 28, and is making some birthday wishes.

Grahn made her mark on the daytime scene when she was cast as fierce attorney Julia Wainwright Capwell on Santa Barbara.

She shared screen-time with all three of the actors who played Julia’s love interest Mason (Lane Davies, Terry Lester, and Gordon Thompson). Fans were sad when the show ended in early 1993, but Julia and Mason got a happy ending when she told him she was pregnant!

Next, Grahn worked on numerous nighttime series including Murder One, Renegade, Models, Inc., and Babylon 5. Then, in 1996, GH hired Grahn to play Alexis Davis.

In time, viewers learned that evil Helena (Constance Towers) had killed Alexis’ mom with a dagger because Mikkos (John Colicos) was Alexis’ (nee Natasha Alexandra Mikkosovana Cassadine) father.

As a TV attorney, Grahn’s had plenty of courtroom scenes in Port Charles, and she’s been paired with many on-screen love interests, too. Alexis’ loves include Ned (Wally Kurth); Sonny (Maurice Benard), with whom she shares a daughter, Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth); Ric (Rick Hearst), with whom she shares a daughter, Molly (Haley Pullos); and Julian (William deVry) with whom she shares a daughter, Sam (Kelly Monaco).

Her relationship with Julian is complicated. He threatened to kill her, but fans can’t deny there’s great chemistry between them!

Not too long ago, an emotional Alexis had a mini-revelation as to why she usually picks men who are bad for her. It’s sure to be among the scenes Grahn will select next year should she submit herself for a Daytime Emmy!
