General Hospital Star Michael Easton Speaks Out on Finn and Anna’s Future

Hamilton Finn has put the welfare of his own child over his relationship with Anna Devane on General Hospital. And if he had it to do all over again, it’s likely he’d make the same decision!

A General Hospital Dilemma

Still, trying to bring down Anna’s (Finola Hughes) son Peter (Wes Ramsey) wasn’t an easy decision. “This hurts him deeper than I think he knows,” Michael Easton (Finn) recently told TV Insider.

“He feels like it’s something he had to do to protect Anna. He doesn’t trust Peter and thinks he may end up hurting her directly or indirectly. She could be hurt physically or her reputation could be hurt by her protecting him and withholding evidence.”

All About The Children

Easton says while Finn may be new to fatherhood, he instantly connects to playing protector not only because he’s a dad in real life, but because he’s so fond of Jophielle Love, who plays Violet. “We have an amazing connection off-camera that translates to on-camera,” he says. “This overrides everything else he’s feeling.”

Anna has blasted Finn for his role in Robert (Tristan Rogers) focusing his investigation on her son. Is this something that the couple can overcome? “I think if their love is strong enough, they’ll survive,” Easton offers.

“It’s a great test. She thinks he’s protecting her son. He thinks he’s protecting her daughter. People are trying to hold onto what they believe in. Sometimes you have to tear the roof off the house to get your point heard.

Michael Easton On The Fanna Future

“It’s breaking Finn’s heart to do this. For the first time in his life, he’s forced to have to make decisions because someone else is involved. Even if it brings an end to [Finn and Anna], he’s going to protect his daughter.”
