You know all about Sonny Corinthos, the mobster who loves his kids, on General Hospital. Soon, you’ll be able to learn about Maurice Benard, the man who portrays him!
The Emmy-winning star has taken pen to paper and next April, his memoir, titled Nothing General About It, will be released on April 7, 2020.
According to the website of the publisher, Harper Collins, Benard’s book will tell the story of his life and delve into stories of his “success, show business, and family, and his struggle with mental illness.”
Readers will learn about his tenuous relationship with his father and how he was diagnosed with having a bipolar disorder. The book is described as a “shocking, riveting, and utterly candid memoir of love, adversity, and ultimately hope…”
According to the tome’s description, “Nothing General About It is also an incredible love story about an enduring marriage that demonstrates what those vows — for better, for worse, in sickness and in health — truly mean. Maurice also pays tribute to the community that has been there for him through thick and thin, and ruminates on the importance of both inherited and created family.”
The book will include a 16-page insert featuring about 50 photographs. Pre-orders are being accepted on the Harper Collins website. Click here to reserve your copy! General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check local listings for air times.
