General Hospital Star Mark Lawson Reveals He Had Minor Surgery

He’s not an outpatient at General Hospital, but Mark Lawson plays one in real life. The actor recently took to social media to explain why he’s been absent from the platform recently, revealing that he’s had some minor surgery.

Mark Lawson Has Important Advice

Lawson, who plays English teacher Dustin Phillips, stressed the importance of getting moles checked.

“A quick explanation for why I’ve been quiet the last week or so,” Lawson posted on Instagram. He says in a video that he had to get a mole removed from his mid to lower back – a “good chicken nugget-sized one” that was “suspicious.” Lawson wisely put off working out for a bit while he recovered. “All good!” he assured. “Mole is removed and all abnormal cells gone! Just can’t wait to throw down the way I normally do!”

Working out, which Lawson’s Instagram followers can attest to, is a big part of his life. As he wasn’t able to work out for a bit, he says that it has also become “apparent that having multiple modes of mental health care is really important! Stay Soapy! Lawson’s fans, many of whom have been watching the actor since his days as Brody on One Life to Live, weighed in on the actor’s post, grateful that he’s okay and appreciative of the update.
