Of course it’s all about the commercials. Is that the reason most people tune in on Super Bowl Sunday? It can’t be the actual game being play, right? It has to be the entertainment. Well, this year, a popular General Hospital (GH) was part of all that.
During the first half of the game with the Philadelphia Eagles playing against the New England Patriots (the Eagles won their first Super Bowl ever), a commercial aired for Toyota and if you look real close, you can spot Dr. Obrecht right there in the stands watching a fake version of the game.
The commercial signified both unity and diversity, with men of all cultures and religions driving a Toyota pickup to the game, and in the stands next to them was a pair of nuns. Gati was one of those nuns, but no, she did not have a German accent like her PC character.
For a look at Gati in Super Bowl action, check out the video above.
General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
