Tomorrow, Leslie Charleson will mark General Hospital’s 14,000th episode, but today, the day is for her.
The longtime soap vet was born on February 22, 1945, making her 73 years young today and going strong as GH chief of staff Monica Quartermaine.
Charleson, who has brought the formidable Monica to life for the past four decades, was born in Kansas City, MO and got her daytime start on the CBS soap, Love Is A Many Splendored Things. In the 1970s, she went on to appear in a series of episodic TV shows, including Happy Days and The Rockford Files.
In 1977, she landed the role of Monica on GH, and is now the longest-running cast member on the soap.
