Kevin is having a horrible time thanks to his serial-killing twin Ryan on General Hospital, but their portrayer, Jon Lindstrom, has plenty to celebrate.
Lindstrom was born on October 18, 1957, in Medford, Oregon, which means he turned 61 yesterday! His dad, Robert, introduced him to acting and filmmaking early in life since he was a TV advertising executive.
In fact, he cast him in several local TV commercials as a young boy. His mom, Sue, was a surgical nurse and a homemaker while his older brother, Jeff, is an electronic engineer.
Music is also important to him, as he’s lifelong drummer. His band, The High Lonesome, recorded the album “Feel Free To Do So,” which earned praise from the industry. The band recorded new songs for their 2010 release, “The High Lonesome Collector’s Album 1995-2010.”
Lindstrom is also a writer: His first screenplay was made into the feature The Hard Easy in 2006. He’s also written three short films as well as How We Got Away with It in 2014, which he also acted in along with soap vet Richard Bekins.
Lindstrom starred on his first soap back in 1984 when he landed a role on Rituals. That was soon followed by his role as Mark McCormick on Santa Barbara from 1985-86.
He then played Paul on Generations, but in 1992 when he created the roles of Ryan and Kevin, which he has played off and on (and on Port Charles) ever since. In between stints, he played Craig on As the World Turns
On the personal side, Lindstrom is a descendant of Aaron Burr. (Did that fact score him free tickets to Hamilton… or maybe keep him attending?) The actor was once married to soap vet Eileen Davidson in the 1990s, but he’s been happily married to another soap vet, Cady McClain, since Valentine’s Day, 2014.
