General Hospital Star James Patrick Stuart Gets Alone Time — In The Rain

While it might seem impossible to picture the dashing Valentin Cassadine taking advantage of the great outdoors, his portrayer, James Patrick Stuart, did a bit of home-camping this weekend by pitching a tent outside his home to share some fun times with his kids.

The actor posted a photo of his red-and-white tent in his backyard, captioning the photo with the post, “Spent the night outside… inside my tent… in the pouring rain. The sound of rain on a tent has always been a favorite.”

While it wasn’t clear if his wife, Jocelyn, also chose to keep the necessities of the inside at bay, Stuart did offer her praise for her role in the adventure and was especially thankful when she shouted out, “coffee’s ready!” to begin the day.

The Stuarts will be celebrating their 20the wedding anniversary this September, and have two boys. With so many parents looking for new and exciting ways to entertain their kids during this trying time, kudos to Stuart for trying to instill some fun in the day with something different.

Castmate Ingo Rademacher (Jax) seems to be mirroring Stuart’s idea, posting that “we just got one like that. Kids about to camp in the living room.” Seems Rademacher might be a little smarter about staying dry!

Odds are, the dastardly Valentin Cassadine has never pitched a tent in his life, and these days, he’s got more important things (ELQ takeover anyone?) to do in Port Charles than have some quality family time with young Charlotte.

As for his own parental unit, if it’s ever revealed who his real father is, maybe a night sleeping under the stars in a campground for a heart-to-heart talk wouldn’t be the worst thing for him. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
