General Hospital Star Erik Olson Undergoes Surgery

Just as little Wiley on General Hospital has undergone surgery so has one of his portrayers, little Erik Olson. The actor’s mom posted on Erik and his twin brother Theo’s social media account that Erik is recovering from a serious medical procedure.

“Our sweet Erik had a big surgery this week!” Erik’s mother said on an Instagram post that can be seen below. “We finally got to bring him home earlier this evening, but he still has a long recovery ahead of him. One cool thing about his hospital room is that it had an epic view of Prospect Studios [where GH tapes]! As a friend of ours said, ‘from one hospital to the next!'”

Erik’s mom reports that her son was up walking only a day after the procedure and reports that the brothers greeted each other after spending the longest time apart that they ever had. The twins’ followers flooded the post with well-wishes and inquiries about Erik’s condition.

“Aww get better soon! See you back on GH soon,” wrote @lulu_marie10. The boys’ mother responded: “We will definitely be back.” Another poster, @joanna_g, gently inquired as to what surgical procedure Erik had. Erik’s mom replied that she’d rather not reveal that in order to maintain her son’s medical privacy, but stated it was “a big one.”

“[Y]ou had a very kind reply & we respect that,” wrote Lindasillett. “Your boys are the sweetest and I’m glad you shared what you could. Praying that it is under control and God will watch over your family.”

“Our heartfelt wishes to Erik for speedy healing and recovery!! That must have been hard for Mom and Dad. Glad he’s home now!!” wrote @dludonnell. Erik’s mom replied, “oh, it’s been a terrible rollercoaster of emotions and exhaustion. He is SO brave!
