For a while, there seemed to be an epidemic of soap stars being impersonated on social media with fake accounts, often asking for money. Although that dangerous trend seemed to die down a bit, it’s not gone forever as someone seems to have created a phony Facebook page for General Hospital star Emme Rylan.
Fake Facebook For Emme Rylan
Rylan took to Instagram on Wednesday afternoon to warn fans this FB account did not belong to her at all.
“Guys! This is a FAKE Facebook account!,” Rylan wrote, next to a screenshot of said account. “I’m getting a lot of messages today about this page so I’m not sure if the person has been trying to contact people but steer clear! I’ve reported the page so it should be taken down soon! (Worth noting… to whoever made this fake profile thank you for at least choosing flattering pictures. 😂😂😂)”
The Facebook page certainly looks authentic and like it could belong to Rylan, as it features photos of herself and her children and gives a true description of the actress and her family. And yes, the photos are very flattering as Rylan notes.
General Hospital fans are now left wondering what will happen to Rylan and Lulu. Word has been out (although unconfirmed) that Rylan had been let go from the soap and she, her partner, and children have left Los Angeles to see what life brings them. Meanwhile, Lulu is lingering in a coma with brain damage after Julian (William deVry) blew up The Floating Rib and doctors wonder if she will ever wake up.
Rylan’s last scenes with Lulu awake broke all our hearts as she mourned the loss of poor Dustin but then realized she truly loved Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and wanted to spend her life with him. She tried to tell him and then collapsed in his arms. Stay tuned to learn her fate. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
