Lulu is struggling a bit with without Dante on General Hospital, but in real life, her portrayer, Emme Rylan, has plenty to celebrate!
Rylan was born as Marcy Faith Behrens on November 4, 1980, in Providence, North Carolina, which means that she turned 38 yesterday! She graduated from Tyrone Area High School in Tyrone, PA in 1999.
Professionally, she’s been known as both Marcy Rylan and Emme Rylan, with her current legal name being Emme Marcy Rylan.
One of her first acting jobs was on the TV show Drake & Josh, which was followed up by appearing in Armageddon for Andy and thenBring It On: All or Nothing with Nashville and Heroes star Hayden Panettiere (ex-Lizzie, Guiding Light; ex-Sarah, One Life to Live). Interestingly, Rylan would soon take over the role of Lizzie as her first soap role.
During her time on GL, she was known as Marcy Rylan, and was roommates with Mandy Bruno Bogue (ex-Marina, GL) and Alexandra Chando (ex-Maddie, As the World Turns) in New York City. Rylan played the role from 2006-2009.
The next three years had her leaving New York for Los Angeles to play Abby on The Young and the Restless. During that time, she also appeared on the TV shows CSI and $#*! My Dad Says.
In 2013, she took over the popular role of Lulu Spencer, daughter of the most popular couple in soaps, Luke and Laura, on General Hospital. She’s played the role ever since.
On the personal front, she has three children with her fiancé Don Money, sons Jackson Robert and Levi Thomas and a daughter Dakota Rose.
Soap Hub hopes Emme Rylan had the happiest of birthdays and you can wish her well too by clicking the link below.
