General Hospital Star Emily Wilson and Husband Adhir Kalyan Welcome Baby Girl

General Hospital star Emily Wilson and her husband, actor Adhir Kalyan, have wonderful news to share! The couple had recently announced that they were expecting a baby and, now, their bundle of joy has arrived.

Emily Wilson Shares Daughter’s Birth Announcement

The couple kept the announcement brief, simply stating their daughter’s name and the day of her birth: “Mira Kalyan. 3.23.21. ❤️👨‍👩‍👧.” GH fans recall that Wilson played the role of Ellie Trout, who debuted on the ABC soap in 2012 as a part of a new group of nurses that also included Felix (Marc Samuel) and Sabrina (Teresa Castillo).

Ellie and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) connected after his relationship with Maxie (Kirsten Storms) went bust. The two left Port Charles along with Spinelli and Maxie’s daughter Georgie so Ellie could accept a nursing gig on the west coast. After Ellie got a nursing gig back on the east coast, she and Spinelli moved back to the Port Charles area.

Wilson last appeared on GH a little over five years ago. Kalyan is set to star in the newest Chuck Lorre sitcom The United States of Al, which will debut on Thursday, April 1 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

Kalyan plays Awalmir (“Al”), who served as the interpreter for Riley (played by Parker Young, whose series include Enlisted) during his tour of duty in Afghanistan. The series picks up when Riley returns to the states and reunites with Al. The rest of the cast includes Riley’s estranged wife, Vanessa, played by Kelli Goss (ex-Courtney, The Young and the Restless).

Also, Elizabeth Alderfer (Disjointed) plays Lizzie; Riley’s sister, Dean Norris (Breaking Bad) is Art, Riley’s dad; and Farrah MacKenzie (Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love) as Hazel, Riley and Vanessa’s daughter.

Kalyan became a breakout star in 2005 in The CW series Aliens in America, playing the part of Raja Musharraf, a Muslim high school pupil from Pakistan, who came to Wisconsin as a transfer student. He then joined the cast of Terms of Engagement as Timmy Patel in 2007 and stayed until that show’s finale in 2013.
