General Hospital Star Donna Mills Stars In A New Series

Fans who miss seeing the late Madeline on General Hospital now have their way of getting a Donna Mills fix — the Emmy-winning star is headed for a new series on streaming service PureFlix.

Mills can be seen on Mood Swings, a new comedy series set to start streaming on PureFlix on Thursday, October 24. The series stars and was created by Crystal Hunt (ex-Lizzie, Guiding Light; ex-Stacy, One Life to Live), who appeared with Mills in the 2015 Pop TV series Queens Of Drama. On Mood Swings, they’ll play mother and daughter.

Mills’ character is about to come to the forefront on GH again now that Liesl and Nina want to know what Madeline really said about Nina having a daughter. Will we see her on GH in flashbacks or newly-created ones?

The web series also stars Dyan Cannon (Heaven Can Wait), who plays Hunt’s aunt. The comedy co-stars Robin Riker (ex-Naomi, GH; ex-Beth, The Bold and the Beautiful), Scott Bailey (ex-Sandy, GL), Sophia Gasca (Ballers), Christina DeRosa (Bad Moms), and Jason Earles (Hannah Montana).

The series’ setup has Hunt’s character, Farrah, newly divorced from her cheating husband, Jonathan (Bailey), and she is awarded the couple’s Malibu mansion — along with its sizeable mortgage. Farrah has few funds to support herself and Ryder, her eight-year-old child.

Farrah decides to rent out some rooms in order to meet her bills. Enter roommates Coco (Riker), who is a “disgruntled working woman,” Dani (DeRosa), an aspiring actress, who is an expert in the kitchen, and Emilia (Casca), a Dominican businesswoman, who is trying to become a U.S. citizen!

Mood Swings is written by Bob Colleary (Golden Girls, The Facts of Life), Danielle Bisutti, and Hunt. The series is directed by Sean Lambert (The Larry Sanders Show, Grounded for Life). Hunt serves as executive producer. You can download the PureFlix app to watch the series by clicking here.
