General Hospital star Dominic Zamprogna recently gave fans a gift by returning to the airwaves for a brief, but memorable stay. Now, it’s the actor’s turn to receive a gift — and he deserves it!
Zamprogna recently celebrated his birthday! Born on April 21, 1979, Zamprogna turned the big 4-0 on Easter Sunday.
He joined GH in 2009 as Dante Falconeri, an undercover detective assigned to bring down Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Despite saving Morgan’s life, Sonny shot Dante in the chest once he found out he was on the right side of the law. “Goodbye, detective,” Sonny callously said. Right after he was shot, Dante’s mother, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) dashed in and informed Sonny that he’d just shot his son!
Zamprogna was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. His father was a dancer, choreographer, and ran an acting school. The Port Charles lawman has siblings Gema and Amanda, his twin.
He started working as a child actor, appearing on the series Are You Afraid Of The Dark?, Edgemont, and Battlestar Galactica.
Off-screen, he’s wed to wife Linda and they have three daughters, Anbilliene, 8, Eliana, 6, and Adeline Pauline, 3.
Earlier this year, Zamprogna earned his third Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his role as Dante. Awards will be handed out on Sunday, May 5 in Pasadena, Calif.
Soap Hub joins the actor’s family, friends, and fans in wishing the actor a Happy Birthday and many happy returns!
